We’re on the lookout for a Chief Technology Officer to drive IT improvements within the company and lead our team of developers!

The Challenge

We are growing & scaling and we are in need of tons of tools to help improve and streamline our processes (both store-front and back-end). We have a team of skilled developers and your job is to ensure that what we needs gets done - with quality and on time.

Early Success Milestones for this role

Deliver and implement the tools that are currently in the pipeline of the IT team.

Your Team When You Join Us

You will collaborate with the Executives and Managers of the team to align on business and operations needs. You will also lead a team of 6 Full Stack Developers to get these projects done.

We would love to hear from you if…

  • You have have strong, proven experience as a full-stack developer before the rise of generative AI (i.e., not someone who only started coding after AI tools became popular).
  • Must have experience building AI-powered tools (e.g., automation tools, AI-driven dashboards, intelligent assistants).
  • Must also be skilled at using AI to enhance their coding workflow (e.g., with GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.).
  • Should be passionate about AI and stay current with the latest models, trends, and tools.
  • Should have the capability and willingness to manage and mentor a small team of junior developers or “Vibe Coders” (developers who primarily use AI to code).

Couple of the notes about the role

  • This is not a salaried position. This is an Independent Contractor role.
  • This role is only for candidates who are currently based in The Netherlands and who does not need work visa sponsorship now or at any point in the future.
  • We do not offer visa sponsorship — candidates must already have the right to work in the Netherlands.
  • You must be able to commit at least 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week.
  • This is a hybrid role — you must come to the office at least every Monday. Remote work is allowed for the rest of the week.
  • We require everybody in the team to use Hubstaff (https://hubstaff.com/) to track hours worked.

Compensation

We pay on an hourly basis — we’re open to reviewing rates based on experience and expertise. This role may have performance incentives.
