Civils Project Manager

Role:

We are seeking an experienced Civils Project Manager to lead the delivery of civil engineering and infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end project delivery, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality and contractual standards.

This role involves close coordination with site teams, subcontractors, clients, and regulatory bodies across a range of infrastructure works including roads, utilities, and drainage.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery

  • Manage the full lifecycle delivery of civils and infrastructure projects
  • Oversee works including roads, utilities, drainage, and associated infrastructure
  • Ensure projects are delivered in line with contract requirements, design specifications, and quality standards

Site Management

  • Coordinate day-to-day site operations and activities
  • Direct site crews, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient delivery
  • Ensure works are executed safely and in accordance with programme requirements

Financial Control

  • Manage project budgets, cost tracking, and financial performance
  • Prepare forecasts and monitor expenditure throughout the project lifecycle
  • Manage commercial variations and support contract administration

Safety & Compliance (HSQE)

  • Promote and enforce high standards of Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental compliance
  • Ensure all site activities comply with statutory and company requirements
  • Support the implementation of safety management systems and procedures

Reporting & Planning

  • Develop and maintain project schedules using tools such as MS Project
  • Prepare progress reports, programme updates, and project documentation
  • Monitor project performance against key milestones and deadlines

Stakeholder Liaison

  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities
  • Maintain strong communication and working relationships with all stakeholders
  • Ensure alignment between project delivery teams and external partners

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
  • 5–10 years’ experience in civil engineering project management within a contracting environment
  • Strong experience delivering infrastructure projects such as roads, utilities, and drainage
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Microsoft Project
  • Strong ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
  • Proven leadership skills managing multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors
  • Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving abilities

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: €75,000.00-€90,000.00 per year
