Community Care Trust Aotearoa are seeking an experienced Registered Psychologist to join our organisation as a Clinical Advisor, supporting adults and youth across the South Island to achieve their goals.

This role is ideal for a clinician who wants to influence practice at a system level, support staff working with complex needs, and contribute to culturally responsive, values-driven services.

About the role | He kōrero whakamārama mō tēnei tūranga

Working within our High and Complex Needs Team, you will provide expert clinical advice, consultation, and leadership across multiple services and regions. You will alsowork closely with managers and frontline teams, to ensure our services are safe, ethical, evidence-informed, and aligned with Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

Employment Type

Permanent / Full-time (40 hours per week)

Salary Range: $100,000.00 per annum

What you will bring | Ngā tohunga mō tēnei tūranga

Qualifications:

  • Registered as a Psychologist with the NZ Psychologists Board and currently holding a practising certificate and registration as per HPCA 2003 and being a member of the NZ Psychological Society or NZ College of Clinical Psychology or an International Neuropsychological society acceptable to ACC.

Competencies:

Minimum 2 years post registration experience working with Clients with:

  • Behaviours of concerns, including formulation and implementation of behaviour support plans;

Skills Required:

  • Knowledge and Understanding of the principals of Applied Behaviour Analysis and Positive Behaviour support is an advantage.

  • An understanding of behavioural responses

  • An understanding of communications and the relationship with behaviour

  • An understanding of functional analysis and the relationship with behaviour

  • Knowledge and ability to interpret neuropsychological assessments

  • Demonstrated regular and ongoing post-graduate and professional development

  • Confidence supporting complex cases and providing clinical consultation

  • A collaborative leadership style and commitment to workforce development

  • A genuine commitment to equity, cultural responsiveness, and whānau-centred practice

To work for us you must:

  • Hold a current First Aid Certificate (or be willing to complete one at our cost)

  • Be eligible to work in New Zealand and have a valid visa with a minimum of 12 months until expiry

  • Hold a FULL, clean New Zealand Driver License
