Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team at S&E Manufacturing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating a Swiss lathe and a 5-axis CNC machine to produce precision parts to exact specifications. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency in CNC programming (preferably Fusion 360), and attention to detail.
Duties
- Set up and operate CNC machines, including the Tornos GT-32 Swiss Lathe and Haas UMC 750SS 5-Axis Machining Center.
- Interpret and analyze technical drawings to determine machining requirements.
- Program and modify CNC programs using Fusion 360 to ensure accurate machining.
- Perform basic math calculations to verify dimensions and maintain tolerances.
- Conduct regular maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify machined parts meet specifications.
- Troubleshoot machinery issues and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance production processes and maximize efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards.
Qualifications
- Experience in machining, specifically with Swiss lathes and/or 5-axis CNC machines.
- Proficiency in Fusion 360 or similar CNC programming software
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of complex machining systems.
- Proficient in reading blueprints and interpreting technical drawings.
- Basic math skills for accurate measurement and tolerance calculations.
- Experience using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
