Responsibilities: - Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, espresso drinks, and teas - Take customer orders and accurately input them into the cash register or point-of-sale system - Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and making recommendations - Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area - Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines when handling and preparing food and beverages - Maintain inventory of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies - Operate coffee equipment such as espresso machines, grinders, and brewers - Handle cash transactions and provide accurate change to customers Experience: - Previous experience as a barista or in the food industry is preferred - Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and different coffee varieties - Familiarity with food safety regulations and guidelines - Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment - Proficiency in operating a cash register or point-of-sale system - Basic understanding of retail math for cash handling purposes - Experience with food preparation, including making sandwiches or pastries, is a plus - Familiarity with Aloha POS system is a plus As a barista at our establishment, you will have the opportunity to showcase your passion for coffee while providing exceptional customer service.
