College Student Ministry Summer Intern

Position Summary:

The College Student Ministry Summer Intern supports the mission of the church by developing a “summer” ministry to Eastminster’s College students, assist the Children’s Ministry with VBS and the Youth Ministry with special events as needed. This position will report to Eastminster’s Director of Youth and College Ministries but will also collaborate with our Director of Children and Families, Senior Pastor, and Associate Pastor.

Qualifications:

• Must be a disciple of Jesus Christ and of good Christian character
• At least 2 years Post-High School
• Have a teachable heart and passion to make disciples of Jesus Christ
• Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Complete our Child Protection Training and pass a background check

Primary Responsibilities:

Specific duties will include:

• Attend Sunday morning worship
• Facilitate a Sunday School class for college students
• Lead a mid-week Bible study for college students
• Help plan and lead other summer activities for college students
• Outreach to local college students not involved at Eastmis
• Assist with Vacation Bible School
• Assist with Youth Ministry special events as needed
• Attend weekly staff meetings

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
