We're currently seeking a dependable and motivated Commercial Furniture Installer to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview
As a Commercial Furniture Installer, you will be responsible for the efficient and accurate delivery, assembly, and installation of office furniture and systems. You’ll work on-site at client locations throughout the St. John's area and occasionally beyond. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with mechanical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and install modular office furniture (desks, chairs, workstations, partitions, etc.)
- Read and interpret installation instructions, floorplans, and technical drawings
- Deliver furniture to client sites with care and professionalism
- Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues on-site
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and team members
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Ensure all tools and equipment are properly used and maintained
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience with furniture assembly or general carpentry/installation work is an asset
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (50 lbs+)
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Valid driver’s license (Class 5); access to reliable transportation is an asset
- Ability to work flexible hours and occasional overtime
- WHMIS and First Aid certification are assets (training can be provided)
- Subject to a Criminal Record Check
- Clean Driver’s Abstract
