Commercial Sales Representative - Greater Toronto Area

OVERVIEW:

The Commercial Sales Representative is tasked with growing the commercial account portfolio of the Company for Lubricants, Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) and related Petroleum products. The Commercial Sales Representative is responsible for business development, with a strong focus on acquiring new customers while maintaining current relationships within the Greater Toronto Area market.

Markets served to include Commercial Fleets, Agriculture, Construction, Industrial and Automotive.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Gain new customers for products offered by MacEwen in the assigned geographic territory through value-based selling.
  • Research markets to identify opportunities that offer maximum potential and engage with the right customer stakeholders.
  • Evaluate customer needs and understand market drivers to develop tailored, value-driven proposals that ensure appropriate service/product, delivery, and pricing.
  • Maintain positive relationships with existing customers, acting as a primary point of contact in the territory.
  • Cultivate and maintain business relationships with suppliers, contractors, dealers, and other sources of referrals.
  • Promote a professional customer service attitude by leading by example in the community.
  • Develop expert product knowledge, becoming a trusted advisor and technical resource for customers and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with division staff to coordinate required installations and service work.
  • Understand account profitability and gain appropriate documentation for equipment and supply agreements, ensuring a positive return on investment.
  • Provide regular reporting and updates on a sales pipeline.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven track record of developing and executing the sales strategy and achieving sales objectives.
  • Customer-centric mindset, focused on delivering an exceptional customer experience.
  • Exceptional organizational, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in selling Petroleum, Lubricants or Industrial related products is preferred (B2B).
  • Highly self-motivated and thrive in an independent work setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to MacEwen locations throughout Ontario on occasion.
