About the Role
BMD has been awarded the Palmer Wind Farm project in South Australia, a major renewable energy development that will make a meaningful contribution to Australia’s clean energy transition.
We are seeking an experienced Communications & Stakeholder Engagement Manager to support the successful delivery of this important project. Adelaide office & work from home flexibility, with regular presence on site and within the local community in Palmer, SA.
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will play a critical leadership role in building and maintaining trust with key stakeholders, managing communications and supporting positive community outcomes throughout the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing the stakeholder engagement and communications strategy for the Palmer Wind Farm
- Leading community and landholder engagement, including consultation activities, briefings and information sessions
- Managing relationships with local councils, government agencies, regulators and community groups
- Preparing clear, consistent project communications such as updates, notices, presentations and briefings
- Supporting issues and risk management, including monitoring stakeholder sentiment and emerging concerns
- Providing strategic advice to the Project Manager and team members
About You
- Proven experience in communications and stakeholder engagement on infrastructure, renewable energy or construction projects
- Demonstrated capability in community consultation and relationship management
- Experience engaging with local government, regulators and community stakeholders
- A practical, collaborative approach and strong judgement in complex environments
- The ability to manage sensitive issues with professionalism and diplomacy
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations, social science or a related discipline (desirable)
