We are looking for a Community Manager to join and be part of our fantastic over-60’s lifestyle living business. An exciting time to come into this newly created, multi-faceted position, based at our new Stockland Halcyon Gables community, located at Box Hill, 48kms north-west of Sydney CBD.
About the role
As first point of contact for homeowners, your exceptional inter-personal skills will be crucial in this dynamic and varied role where every day is different. You will be community minded, service orientated and ready to deliver an exceptional customer centric experience to our homeowners.
Some of your responsibilities include:
- Build, maintain and grow positive and respectful relationships with our homeowners
- Manage all homeowner queries and complaints promptly in a courteous and professional manner, and in line with internal escalation procedures
- Welcome new homeowners and ensure they are embedded into the community
- Support and nurture the delivery of active and passive activities, including inductions, community events, wellness programs and participate actively in functions
- Facilitate and assist in establishing and supporting homeowner interest groups
- Accountability for community financial operations
- Ensure all legislative and regulatory compliance, guidelines and policies are followed, participate in company and industry wide audits
- Manage and oversee all community administration
About you
We are looking for a passionate and empathetic people-person with unparalleled stakeholder relationship skills. Commercially minded with an understanding of asset management.
- You’ll bring solid experience in a similar role managing day to day operations, the customer experience and property
- Experience in Land Lease Community, Retirement Living, Commercial/Retail Property Management or Hotel/Holiday Resort industry will be highly regarded
- You will be proficient in financial management and understand budgets, knowledge of asset management would be advantageous
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with building relationships with internal and external stakeholders is key
- Accountable for your actions, you have strong negotiation and conflict management skills with the ability to drive positive outcomes
- You’ll bring strong emotional intelligence and maturity to deal with sensitive and confidential items
- You are community minded, and service orientated, with a can-do and hands-on approach
- Proficient computer literacy including use of MS Office Suite
- Experience in event and function preparation and arrangement ideally
- Have the flexibility to attend functions outside of normal working hours as required
