Wills Bros is a leading civil engineering contractor operating across Ireland and the UK, recognised for delivering high-quality road, bridge, and major civil infrastructure projects.
We are currently seeking experienced Construction Materials Field Technicians to join our team.
You will be covering sites in Dublin and Kildare.
The Role
You will be responsible for testing, sampling, and monitoring construction materials to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and quality requirements. This role supports the teams by providing accurate data and maintaining proper documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and prepare samples of soil, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials for testing.
- Perform laboratory tests such as compaction, moisture content, sieve analysis, concrete slump, and compressive strength tests.
- Record and report test results accurately and promptly to the relevant personnel.
- Ensure all testing equipment is calibrated and maintained in good working order.
- Assist in implementing quality control procedures and compliance with project specifications.
- Maintain organised records of all tests and inspections for audit and project documentation.
- Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations always
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field essential
- Previous experience in materials testing within construction or civil engineering projects.
- Knowledge of quality standards and testing procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills essential
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with laboratory software is an advantage.
- Full Clean EU driving licence essential.
