Offshore Construction Mechanical Technician

with solid experience in mechanical construction, installation, inspection, and pre-commissioning of industrial and offshore mechanical systems.

Strong commitment to HSE standards, PTW procedures, and safe execution of mechanical works in high-risk offshore environments.

Technical Skills & Experience

• Installation, inspection, and maintenance of piping systems, pumps, valves, and process equipment

• Mechanical erection and alignment of rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, fans, turbines)

• Support to welding activities (fit-up, inspection, coordination with welders)

• Installation and pre-commissioning of: Mechanical skids, Tanks and pressure vessels, HVAC and cooling systems

• Ability to read and interpret: Mechanical drawings, P&IDs, Piping layouts, Equipment datasheets and schematics

• Verification of correct installation, alignment, and calibration of mechanical equipment

• Interface support with Electrical and Instrumentation teams

• Knowledge of international mechanical and offshore standards (ASME, API, ISO)

Key Responsibilities

• Execution of mechanical construction activities offshore

• Installation and verification of mechanical equipment according to project drawings and specifications

• Support to mechanical assembly, equipment alignment, and piping installation

• Assistance during pressure testing, flushing, and cleaning activities

• Identification and correction of installation non-conformities

• Completion and closure of construction punch lists

• Support in preparation of handover documentation (as-built drawings, inspection records)

• Compliance with HSE requirements, PTW, and offshore safety procedures

• Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams during offshore construction phases

Contract Details:

• Start date: ASAP

• Location: Offshore – Brazil

• Rotation: 45 days on / 45 days off

• Working schedule: 12 hours/day, 7 days/week

• Contract type: 6-month + 6-month extendable contract
