Construction/Landscaping Operations Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily business operations, drive sales, and lead a team towards achieving organizational goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with a proven track record in retail management, sales management, and team supervision. This role requires a strategic thinker capable of managing budgets, implementing marketing initiatives, and ensuring excellent customer service across all store functions. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly valued to enhance communication with diverse teams and clientele.

Duties

• Lead and supervise store staff, including recruiting, training & development, and performance management to foster a high-performing team.
• Oversee daily store operations including merchandising, pricing strategies, inventory purchasing, and POS systems management.
• Manage store budgets, monitor sales performance, and develop strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
• Handle customer service issues effectively to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Coordinate marketing efforts to promote products and increase store visibility within the community.
• Oversee cash handling procedures, cashiering activities, and bookkeeping to maintain financial accuracy.
• Conduct interviews for potential new hires and participate in hiring decisions.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to optimize efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and legal regulations.
• Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll processing, and record keeping.
• Collaborate with vendors for purchasing supplies and merchandise to ensure optimal stock levels.
• Utilize strong communication skills to liaise between staff, upper management, and customers effectively.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in retail management or store management roles with supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a positive work environment.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks.
• Proficiency in negotiation, marketing strategies, POS systems, cash handling, and pricing techniques.
• Experience with budgeting, sales management, training & development programs.
• Exceptional communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are preferred for effective team leadership and customer interaction.
• Demonstrated ability in recruiting talent and conducting interviews effectively.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently under pressure.
• Knowledge of merchandising standards, retail sales processes, and customer service excellence.

Pay: $51,116.93-$125,188.61 per year
