Description:
The role:
NGH has established a Communications and Social Sustainability team to support the delivery of game changing infrastructure. Much of our work is in renewable energy infrastructure in regional areas and we aim to ensure that our projects support a more sustainable Australia and more resilient regions. Ultimately, we want to lead the industry in collaborative engagement and robust social impact assessment and management.
Due to rapid growth in our projects, we are seeking a Consultant specialising in Communications and Engagement. This role will support our clients in meeting the growing government and industry expectations for communications, engagement and social impact analysis for large scale infrastructure and regional development projects.
Key deliverables for the Consultant:
- Developing strategies and plans to guide communications and engagement activities.
- Developing a range of communications materials, including project profiles, updates, web pages, media materials, social media updates, letters and short film.
- Discussing landowner agreements in partnership with our clients.
- Facilitating community and stakeholder discussions, including open house information sessions, workshops, online discussions, and industry forums.
- Writing reports summarising engagement outcomes.
About you:
We are looking for an aspirational applicant with an interest in making a difference through local and national projects.
Preferred skills and experience include:
- Tertiary Qualifications in the relevant fields, such as communications, journalism or marketing (or related disciplines).
- Experience working in rural areas and engaging regional communities.
- Renewable energy sector experience or a strong interest in this area.
- Initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Problem-solving aptitude.
