Visual Sound is seeking an experienced Corporate Account Manager that would be responsible for the overall business growth of the Audio-Visual Command and Control market and secondary AV solution sales on the West Coast. This person would expand market penetration for verticals including but not limited to: Utility (Electric Transmission, Electric Distribution, Electric Generation, Gas Transmission, Gas Distribution, etc.) Government (Federal, State, and local), Transportation, and Enterprise (Entertainment, Healthcare, Financial, etc.) markets. The Account Manager is expected to establish and implement a market strategy, in order to meet and exceed assigned sales goals. The role will also require developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, vendors, and partners in both the command & control and Pro AV marketplace.
Responsibilities:
Business Development
- Develop and implement market strategies and tactical plans to meet organizational objectives for each vertical market.
- Adapt a proactive hunter sales mentality, along with a strong focus on opening new doors for the company.
- Responsible for revenue generation through new business development activities/prospecting include weekly planning, networking, sourcing, cold calling, client visits, vendors, and related follow-up activities to target clients.
- Develop and maintain relationship with clients, vendors, and partners to generate revenue and gaining repeat business.
- Organize and participate in trade shows, conferences, exhibits, networking, and other industry specific events for lead generation.
- Participate and identify necessary training, continuing education, and other industry certifications needed to expand the Visual Sound brand.
- Demonstrates technical skills, product knowledge, and terminology of the command-and-control space.
Sales
- Determine key targets within an organization and be able to develop a tactical plan to reach key targets.
- Listen, understand, and analyze customers' needs and requirements then propose and demonstrate, when needed, viable solutions using products and services.
- Engaging technical resource to develop custom solutions, generate and present proposal to clients.
- Actively prospect for new business, identify needs, closing the sales and gaining repeat business.
- Negotiate contract terms and conditions in accordance with business guidelines and contract administration objectives.
- Communicate with all other business units/divisions to maximize company's cross-divisional sales opportunities.
- Consolidate accurate and dependable sales forecasting from opportunities in assigned territory to enable efficient product base planning and installation implementation.
- Other duties as required or assigned by company management.
