Position: Graphic Designer Intern Location: Christchurch, NZ Business Unit: MarCom Join us for a 12 week paid internship, working on real life projects as part of our dynamic, inclusive engineering and design team. What You Will Do You will produce, in conjunction with other team members, digital and print materials for identified communications projects. You have the ability to communicate their creative ideas effectively and apply them to solve business problems. The ability to accept feedback is imperative. Good file management practices are required in a collaborative, international working environment. The position must be able to exercise judgment within defined practices and procedures.

• Design for print and digital media
• Use existing templates, team processes and branding standards
• Follow appropriate team standards and practices to prepare materials for production and on-line use
• Keep up to date with digital, print and design advancements

Skills, Experience and Qualifications You Should Have

• Artistic and a good eye for colour and composition
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Good time management skills
• Able to work well under pressure
• Flexible approach to working in a changing environment
• Ability to work as part of a collaborative team
• Willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment

• Relevant Tertiary qualification in Graphic Design
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience with responsive web design techniques
• A portfolio that demonstrates a variety of creative design work
• Service-orientation
• Good knowledge of computers and peripheral technology
• Excellent file management practices
