Job Summary

SARCAN Recycling is hiring a Customer Service Cashier to provide friendly customer service, process recycling transactions, and support daily depot operations. This role is responsible for assisting customers, handling payments, sorting materials, and maintaining an efficient and welcoming recycling environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service
• Process recycling returns and customer transactions accurately
• Operate point-of-sale systems and handle cash payments
• Assist customers with recycling procedures and questions
• Sort and organize recyclable materials according to guidelines
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
• Support daily depot operations and customer service activities
• Follow safety procedures and environmental handling standards
• Assist with inventory and material organization
• Perform additional cashier and customer support duties assigned by management

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience in cashier, retail, customer service, or recycling operations is an asset but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic math and cash handling abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable, organized, and customer-focused
