Customs & International Freight Manager

THE POSITION
This role will be responsible for customs operations to ensure compliant, cost-effective, and timely international and domestic movement of goods by managing customs brokerage, documentation, and logistics partnerships. throughout the preparation of the tournament. Will act as the primary liaison for import/export compliance, mitigating risk, resolving transport delays, and optimizing shipping routes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Compliance and Regulations: Ensuring all cargo meets local and international customs laws, regulations, and tax requirements to avoid delays.
- Logistics and Freight Management: Overseeing transportation, negotiating with carriers/forwarders for optimal rates, and managing shipment tracking.
- Risk Mitigation and Problem Solving: Proactively addressing issues in the supply chain, such as cargo damage or shipping delays.
- Operational Support: Coordinating with internal teams (warehouse, procurement) and external partners (ports, agents) to ensure efficient delivery of goods.
YOUR PROFILE
- Education: Engineering, Administration, Economics, International relations or other related areas
- Experience: minimum 5 years experience in customs and freight in Brazil.
- Collaborative mindset, adaptable and willing to work to tight and changing timelines.
- Proficient in analytical thinking and data skills.
- Demonstrates positive attitude, patience, persistence, and determination.
- Experience working in a multi-cultural, multi-national environment.
- Right to work in Brazil.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Fluent in Portuguese (spoken and written)
- Ability to re-locate to Rio de Janeiro.
