About the job

The Cycles & Procurement (C&P) Intern will support the Regional Dairy Ingredients procurement team in managing category data, market intelligence, reporting, and operational sourcing activities. This internship is designed as a learning-oriented role, providing exposure to end‑to‑end procurement cycles, supplier management, and cross‑functional collaboration within a regional, matrixed organization.


The intern will work closely with Category Buyers and internal stakeholders to support decision‑making, ensure data accuracy, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.


As a C&P Intern you will,

  • Category & Market Support
    • Support the team in building knowledge of milk and base powder categories, including suppliers, pricing mechanisms, and market dynamics.
    • Assist in tracking market trends, indices, and key cost drivers impacting dairy ingredients
  • Reporting & Data Management
    • Support reporting on price and volume coverage in line with category strategy and MRM policy
    • Maintain and update procurement trackers, dashboards, and reports (e.g. pricing files, PPV/MVA, market summaries).
  • Operational & Tactical Procurement Support
    • Assist in operational sourcing activities such as RFQs, data collection, offer comparisons, and internal documentation.
    • Support preparation for supplier negotiations (data analysis, benchmarks, summaries), under supervision of the Category Buyer.
    • Help prepare materials for internal and supplier meetings (agenda, data packs, minutes of meeting).
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration
    • Liaise with internal stakeholders including Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, Manufacturing, and R&I to support sourcing activities.
    • Support alignment on demand, supply availability, and reporting consistency.
  • Projects & Continuous Improvement
    • Participate in procurement improvement projects and initiatives (e.g. process simplification, reporting standardization, cost transparency).
    • Contribute ideas and analysis to support productivity, cost savings, or efficiency improvements
About you

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Business Analytics, Supply Chain, International business, or a related field
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (data analysis, formulas, basic dashboards)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Comfortable working with numbers, large datasets, and reports
  • Interest in procurement, commodities, or supply chain is a strong advantage

  • Proficient in both spoken and written English
  • Clear and structured communicator, able to interact professionally with internal stakeholders
  • Detail‑oriented with strong attention to accuracy and data consistency
  • Ability to work independently and possesses a strong sense of responsibility and ownership.

  • Proactive, curious and takes initiative.
  • Strong team player
  • Reliable – punctual, trustworthy, and maintains an excellent attendance record.
  • Effective Communication Skills – expresses ideas clearly and accurately (both oral and written)
  • Integrity – demonstrates high ethical standards, committed to ‘doing the right thing’

The successful candidate must possess an understanding of Danone business priorities and be able to evaluate those in the context of the global/regional sourcing perspective and the competitive landscape. Must be able to achieve results in a matrixed, culturally diverse organization and assimilate new information rapidly as business needs require while managing risks appropriately.
