Responsibilities:
3rd Shift - 10:30 PM - 6:30 AM - Sunday - Friday morning
Pay Rate $27.23/hr

Now Hiring at our Murrysville Manufacturing plant for a Cylinder Assembler. This position is primarily responsible for the inspection, assembly, filling, testing and packing of low volume/high mix SCBA cylinders including set-up of test equipment, and assembly of the cylinder valves.
You will:
- Assemble, fill, test, and inspect a variety of SCBA cylinders using simple machines, power and hand tools.
- Assemble sub-assemblies, component parts, and gages using torque wrenches, vises, various hand/power tools.
- Perform various tests and inspections throughout these processes to ensure that component parts are assembled according to drawings.
- Troubleshoot, perform visual inspections, and repair sub-assemblies and component parts as needed.
- Label, package, and record information for all cylinders filled.
- Prepare c-valves with O-rings.
- Complete and maintain relevant paperwork and input information in computer system.
- Coordinate work/orders with Supply Chain Specialist, Supervisor and/or Group Leader.
- Maintain production goals through productivity targets and cost containment by eliminating waste.
- Adhere to safety, housekeeping and quality standards as related to production and company objectives is required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Proven ability to:
- read and understand drawings, work instructions and test procedures.
- understand standard units of measure and to set-up and interpret results of various measuring devices.
- frequently lift 10 pounds and infrequently lift up to 50lbs without assistance.
- infrequently push and pull a force of 50 pounds on a wheeled-cart.
- use power and hand tools, a variety of testing equipment and simple machines.
- prioritize and organize work.
- work in a team environment and effectively communicate with various levels within the organization including training of new associates and temporary agency assignments.
- work independently with minimal supervision.
- operate pallet jack with heavy loads and to obtain fork truck license.
- operate at a level that meets or exceeds quality and productivity standards for the work area - the expected length of time to become proficient at producing at acceptable quality and productivity level is no more than 9 months.
- multitask and prioritize tasks.
- wear safety glasses ANSI Z87 approved, steel toe shoes and other PPE as required.
Education and Experience Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 6 months previous manufacturing or other related experience
