The person will join the Space and EU Agencies Line of Business being the Technical Authority and coordinator of projects in the field of Cybersecurity, with specific focus on Quantum Key distribution and Post Quantum Cryptography.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Solutions Architect will have the following responsibilities:

• Be the Technical Authority towards the Customers and internal teams, with specific focus on Cryptography and Quantum Communications

• Technically Lead and contribute to the execution throughout the projects lifecycle (design, development, integration, validation, qualification and acceptance) by managing diverse and distributed technical teams

• Support Offer Engineering and Pre-Sales activities to identify, understand and respond to customers technical requirements and technological needs, through deep understanding of the market and customers business processes, while interfacing directly with the customer

EDUCATION:

• Master Degree in STEM disciplines.

• [nice to have] studies focus on QKD and/or PQC

EXPERIENCE:

• At least 5 years of experience in technical management of projects relevant to Cybersecurity, QKD or PQC

• [nice to have] Knowledge of Space technologies development and ECSS standards will be a strong asset

TECHNICAL COMPETENCES:

• Understanding of Cybersecurity and Cryptography principles and solutions

• Hands-on experience on QKD, including laboratory equipment, with solid basis on QKD protocols, knowledge on HW Architectures for BB84 implementation and knowledge of Attack Vectors to main QKD implementations.

• Knowledge of main QKD reference standards (ETSI, ITU-T, ISO/IEC)

• [nice to have] Hands-on experience on PQC, including development environments and relevant standards (i.e. NIST FIPS 203, 204, 205, 140-3)

• [nice to have] Knowledge of Classical and Post-Quantum Cryptography hybridization

• [nice to have] Knowledge of ECSS standards and CCSDS SDLS protocol

LANGUAGES:

• Fluency in English is required for the role;

• [nice to have] Fluency in Italian or willing to learn Italian Language will be considered a plus

COMPUTER & PROGRAMMING SKILLS:

• Literate in MS Office and collaboration tools;

• Knowledge of Python/C/C++/RUST

• [nice to have] development on FPGA

• Ability to deal with other technical authorities from Partners and Customers

OTHER:

• Availability to travel, long or short term, up-to 35% of time;

• Hold or be eligible for security clearance up to ESA/NATO/EU SECRET.
