Data Engineering Intern - Data Warehouse Logistics Data Pipeline Modernization

About the Role

We’re looking for motivated Interns to join our Global Logistics Data Engineering team.

Your main mission: help us modernize our ingestion pipelines, porting Airflow ingestion DAGs, and taking advantage of Real-Time data streaming.

This is a hands-on role. You'll dive into real data, build experience with the Google Cloud Platform, and work alongside a global team of experienced data professionals

What You’ll Work On

• Porting existing ingestion DAGs to the new Airflow ingestion platform
• Refactoring existing Data Lake code to take advantage of real-time streaming
• Implementing data quality and governance practices to ensure data accuracy
• Collaborating with experienced engineers to understand technical and business needs
• Documenting and improving processes along the way
  

What You’ll Learn

By the end of your internship, you’ll have hands-on experience with:

• Gain experience working with Airflow and the Google Cloud Platform
• How to work with large amounts of data
• Best practices in data quality and automation
• Collaboration in a global team environment
• Work on a Real-world project

What We’re Looking For

• Interest in data engineering, analytics, ETL processes
• Some exposure to SQL and Python (Google Cloud Platform exposure a plus, but not required)
• Eagerness to learn and collaborate in a fast-moving team environment
• Curious mindset and attention to detail
  

Practical Details

• Location: Our office in Amsterdam – an energetic, collaborative space where you’ll join us on Mondays & Wednesdays. The rest of the days, you can work from home.
• Hours: Flexible, but a minimum of 24 hours per week. (Exact schedule can be discussed.)
• Start Date: January/February
