Manage, maintain, and optimise MySQL database environments
Perform database installations, upgrades, and patches
Implement and manage backup and recovery strategies
Monitor database performance and tune for optimal efficiency
Ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness
Automate common database maintenance tasks
Collaborate with development teams to ensure efficient database design
Implement and maintain database security measures
Ensure compliance with data protection regulations
Conduct regular security audits and implement best practices
Contribute to maintenance of MSSQL, Oracle and/or PostgreSQL databases
Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
Minimum 5 years of experience as a MySQL DBA
MySQL Certified Professional certification
Proven experience implementing and managing MySQL clusters
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python, Perl) for automation
MySQL Certified Professional certification
Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools
Familiarity with database compliance standards (e.g., PCI DSS, HIPAA)
Experience with other database technologies (e.g., MSSQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL)
