Demand Planning Intern

Job Summary

The Demand Planning Intern will support the supply chain and planning team in forecasting customer demand, analyzing sales trends, and improving forecast accuracy. This role provides hands-on exposure to demand planning processes, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration with sales, marketing, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing demand forecasts using historical sales data and market trends
• Analyze demand variances and identify key drivers of forecast error
• Support monthly demand review and S&OP processes
• Maintain and update demand planning files, dashboards, and reports
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to incorporate promotions and launches into forecasts
• Perform data cleaning, validation, and basic statistical analysis
• Help document demand planning processes and best practices

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, basic formulas)
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work with large datasets and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to demand planning or supply chain concepts
• Knowledge of forecasting techniques (time series, trend analysis)
• Experience with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or Python
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Netsuite, etc.)
