Are you an ambitious Demi-Chef-de-Partie (DCDP) looking for a new job opportunity? We are looking for an ambitious and passionate kitchen professional to join our kitchen team. As a DCDP, your main responsibility will be to amaze our guests with your culinary creations.


Inspired by tropical and Latin American cuisine and co-created by nhow Amsterdam, the award-winning restaurant Selva is located on the 24th floor of nhow Amsterdam. This rooftop restaurant has been open since September 2023 and has 140 seats, overlooking the city of Amsterdam. Together with the kitchen team, the culinary creations, complemented by the amazing views, you will create the nhow experiences our guests hope for.

What part will you play in creating the unforgettable?

As Selva is inspired by tropical and Latin American cuisine, it is important that our culinary brigade uses traditional and cutting-edge techniques along with seasonal and honest ingredients. The menu consists of traditional Latin American ingredients and recipes such as ceviche, chimichurri, aguachile, picanha, and more. At Selva, we are using a charcoal grill to offer different taste profiles in our menu. As the DCDP in this international environment, you will be assisting the CDP with their section.


Your key responsibilities include:

  • In charge of daily preparations;

  • Properly storing your daily products in line with HACCP;

  • Maintain your kitchen area tidy and organized;

  • Cleaning your working station;

  • You will be part of completing dishes for the guests


What makes you the perfect fit for this bold journey?

  • Ambition to become CDP;

  • You have worked at least 1 year in a commercial kitchen;

  • You have worked and understand the relevant health, safety, and hygiene standards in line with the current HACCP guidelines.

  • You can speak and understand English.
