Dental Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to our dental team, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation while delivering exceptional patient care. This role is crucial in assisting with various dental procedures, managing patient records, and maintaining a clean and organized environment.

Duties

• Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, including four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with safety protocols.
• Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety standards.
• Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, confirming, and following up on visits.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records using Dentrix or similar software.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Support pediatric dentistry by creating a welcoming environment for young patients.
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Skills

• Proficiency in pediatric dentistry practices is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
• Familiarity with Dentrix software for managing patient records and appointments.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and dental terminology relevant to the field.
• Experience in assisting with endodontics procedures is a plus.
• Ability to perform X-ray imaging safely and effectively.
• Competence in medical documentation practices to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Spanish speaking is advantageous.
