Dental Assistant

Permanent Part-Time - 64 hours per fortnight

As a Dental Assistant you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality dental services to our rural community.

Key responsibilities include:

• Provide chair-side assistance to oral health professionals during dental procedures, ensuring efficient and high-quality care.
• Prepare and maintain dental surgeries, including the selection and preparation of instruments, materials, and equipment, while adhering to strict infection control protocols.
• Undertake reception and administrative duties, including maintaining accurate client and clinic records, managing stock, and ensuring equipment is in good working order.
• Contribute to a culturally appropriate and inclusive environment by working cooperatively with team members and responding sensitively to the needs of clients from diverse backgrounds.

About you

• Qualified Dental Assistant with a Certificate III or above.
• Demonstrated experience in providing clinical support in a dental setting.
• Organised and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple tasks and setting work priorities effectively.
• Culturally sensitive and responsive, able to work appropriately with clients from diverse backgrounds and meet their specific needs.
• Team player with the ability to work cooperatively in a collaborative environment.
• Professional presentation and behavior, especially in client-facing roles.
• Administrative skills, including record-keeping and managing clinic operations.
