Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during examinations and treatment procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and ready for use.
• Take dental X-rays, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
• Maintain an aseptic environment by following infection control procedures and sterilization techniques.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
• Support pediatric dentistry practices by creating a welcoming environment for young patients.
• Perform general dental assisting tasks including preparing treatment rooms, cleaning instruments, and maintaining inventory of supplies.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic setting.
• Proficiency with dental software systems such as Dentrix is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols in a dental environment.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Dental Assisting license required.
