In this energetic role, you will assist the doctor during patient treatments, answer phones and greet patients. Your expertise in dental procedures, infection control, and patient communication will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel cared for and confident in their dental journey. Responsibilities
- Assist dentist chairside during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, endodontics and cosmetic dentistry.
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring all tools are sterilized and organized according to aseptic technique standards.
- Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced medical imaging equipment and traditional radiography tools while maintaining proper radiation safety protocols.
- Manage patient records by accurately and securely complying with HIPAA regulations.
- Perform vital signs assessments and monitor patient comfort throughout procedures to ensure safety and well-being.
- Support the dental reception team by scheduling appointments, managing medical documentation.
- Maintain infection control standards through proper sterilization procedures, disposal of contaminated materials, and adherence to OSHA guidelines.
- Educate patients on oral health practices, dental terminology, and post-treatment care to promote ongoing wellness.
Qualifications
- *EXPERIENCE NOT NECESSARY*
- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, taking X-rays, and maintaining sterile environments is a plus.
- Strong understanding of infection control protocols, aseptic technique, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
