Job Summary
Dental specialty practice seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant practice. The ideal candidate will support the delivery of high-quality patient care by assisting dentists during procedures, managing patient flow, and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic. There are also reception duties. This role offers an excellent opportunity to grow within a professional environment committed to exceptional patient care in a fun environment.
Duties
- chair side during clinical procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary supplies
- Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when required
- Manage patient records accurately using dental software.
- Provide pre- and post-operative instructions to patients
- Ensure patient comfort and address any questions or concerns
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient check-in/check-out processes, acting as a dental receptionist when needed.
- Educate patients on oral health care practices and treatment plans
Requirements
- Work experience ideal, not mandatory. We will provide training.
- Familiarity with dental software helpful, not mandatory. Willing to learn is!
- The environment is fun and stress free. We try anyway!
- Certification in Dental Assisting is required, ability to take radiographs and HARP certified a must!
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with patients of all ages.
- Ability to make decisions to help with patient flow and care. To help create a smooth environment for all.
- Professional attitude with excellent organizational skills
- Prior experience working as a dental receptionist or in administrative roles within a dental practice is advantageous, not mandatory.
- Must be committed to maintaining high standards of infection control and patient confidentiality
- This is a specialty clinic, a bright fun place to work, with growth potential.
- Hours at this time. M-TH 8-5pm. No Fridays! No nights! No weekends!
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32.00 per week
Work Location: In person
