Design Engineer (Mechanical)

Duffy Coachbodies, a leader in the design and manufacture of hearses and limousines since 1956, is seeking a talented Design Engineer to join our team. This role is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of our premium low-volume automotive products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sheet Metal Design: Create and optimize sheet metal components for our vehicles.
• Assembly Fixturing: Design jigs and fixtures to improve production efficiency and accuracy.
• General Engineering Support: Assist in problem-solving and provide engineering solutions to enhance production processes.
• Collaborate with the design and production teams to meet high-quality standards.

Qualifications:

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with CAD software (e.g., Fusion 360 / SolidWorks, Rhino / Alias, or similar).
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Enthusiastic about working in a low-volume, high-quality automotive niche.
