Desktop Support Technician

Job Title: Desktop Support Technician Level 1

Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Desktop Support Technician Level 1 to join our team. This entry-level position is responsible for providing technical support to end-users, ensuring the smooth operation of desktop hardware, software, and peripherals. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with excellent communication skills and a passion for technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-level support for technical issues, including hardware, software, and network-related problems.
  • Respond to help desk tickets, phone calls, and emails to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware, operating systems, and software applications.
  • Assist with setting up and maintaining user accounts, email configurations, and access permissions.
  • Perform routine maintenance on desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripheral devices.
  • Escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams or external vendors as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and asset inventory in the ticketing system.
  • Provide basic user training on software applications and hardware usage.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure timely resolution of issues and optimize IT processes.
  • Stay updated on emerging technology trends and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree in IT or related field is preferred.
  • CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of Windows and/or macOS operating systems.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and other common business applications.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer service-oriented with the ability to handle users courteously and professionally.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the IT field.

Requirements:

· English and local language are mandatory.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry equipment (e.g., desktops, printers) weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Capability to work in a seated or standing position for extended periods.

Work Hours:

  • Full-time
  • May require occasional on-call or after-hours support.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: €2.500,00 - €3.800,00 per month
