Digitalization Officer – Corporate Finance
As a Digitalisation Officer – Corporate Finance, you will be a pivotal force in the digital transformation of our Corporate Finance department. Your role is instrumental in developing and implementing digital solutions that significantly enhance business decision-making. While leading and running the digital agenda, you will introduce innovative ideas, create new data attributes, provide insightful dashboards, and continuously improve and digitalize various processes. Your contributions will offer valuable insights and data, empowering commercial teams and senior management to focus more effectively on the right clients and projects.
You and your job
You will join the newly formed Corporate Finance (Business support) department within Wholesale Advisory Products (W&R). Corporate Finance offers strategic advice to Wholesale clients in Mergers & Acquisitions and Equity Capital Markets. This event-related fee business is central to the bank, building on both new and existing relationships. The department aligns with Rabobank’s international strategy and is organised in three pillars:
Banking for Food (Global F&A) Banking for the Netherlands (All sectors)Banking for Energy (Europe)
The Business Support Team within Corporate Finance comprises ~11 colleagues who provide various support services to the Corporate Finance community. As a Digitalisation Officer, you will be integral to this team, driving the digital agenda. This role offers freedom and flexibility, primarily involving collaboration with the Global Business Manager, the Staffer and the Corporate Finance bankers to discuss prioritisation, requirements and approaches.
A year ago, we embarked on a digital transformation journey, and since then, we have made significant strides in enhancing our processes and capabilities with digital insights. In this role, you will help us progress further and accelerate this journey. The role is uniquely positioned at the intersection of business and IT, allowing you to add immediate value. It is global, meaning you will work for various regions, including North America, South America, the Netherlands and France (regions where we have local presence). The responsibilities encompass aspects typically associated with roles such as a data analyst, business analyst and software engineer.
Practical Examples
- Create PowerBI Dashboards: Drive data-driven decision making by creating valuable insights for senior management.
- Connect Data from Various Sources: Reconcile, create logic and ensure data quality.
- Ensure Adoption of a new CRM Solution: Providing training, guidance and support.
- Build a PowerApps End-Year-Review Application: Digitalize processes and enable additional business insights through development of various applications/interfaces.

You and your talent
- A completed relevant Bachelor or Masters’ degree, preferably in IT, Data Science, Tech and/or Business Administration
- 2+ years of relevant working experience in digital transformation projects, preferably within the financial sector
- Strong data analytical skills with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights
- Proactive communication skills and able to present initiatives to a wider group of colleagues – and convince them
- Knowledgeable and experienced in handling technologies such as Azure DevOps and Microsoft 365 (Power Automate, PowerBI, Microsoft Dynamics, CoPilot and Power Apps)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Proactive attitude towards learning new technologies and staying updated with industry trends
- Ability to bridge the gap between IT and Business
- Proficiency in spoken and written English is required due to the international character of the department
