JOB TITLE: Director, Nutritional Services

REPORTS TO: CEO

POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the coordination and management of a high quality and high-volume Food Service Department. Responsible for supervision of entire Nutritional Services operation, including compliance with all Federal, State and local health regulations. Performs all other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum three years of experience in dietary department required. Minimum one year of supervisory experience required. Extensive knowledge of food planning, preparation, purchasing and personnel management. Must possess communication and teaching skills with demonstrated management ability.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Serve Safe Certification required. Registered Dietician highly preferred. CDM, CFPP or DSS certificate required if not Registered Dietician.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: In accordance with ADA: prolonged, extensive or considerable standing/walking/sitting; lifts, positions pushes (up to 50 pounds); repetitive motion: keyboard activity; considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching; manual dexterity and mobility; touch, auditory and visual perception and acuity; adequate vocal pitch and volume; ability to move quickly; Vision Requirements: sufficient perceptive acuity (visions and hearing) to perform all the related duties of the positions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Varying conditions including, but not limited to, office, freezers, refrigerators, cooking equipment, dish-washing equipment and commercial kitchen equipment. Subject to varying and unpredictable situations; exposure to unpleasant elements (accidents, injuries, illness); emergency and crisis situations; subject to irregular hours.
