Disability Support Worker

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Workers to provide high-quality care and assistance to a 13-year-old child with disabilities. This role involves supporting clients in their daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their safety and well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living, patient care, or senior care, and possess a genuine desire to make a positive impact on people's lives. Duties

• Assist clients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support .
• Provide medication administration
• Engage clients in recreational activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
• Perform light cleaning and household tasks to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
• Assist with heavy lifting and transfers using proper techniques to ensure safety for both clients and staff.
• Document care provided accurately and communicate effectively with healthcare teams
• Support clients during transitions between different care settings or activities

Requirements

• Knowledge of working with people with disabilities is preferred
• Certification or training in medication administration is a plus but not mandatory
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Flexibility to work various shifts
• A valid driver’s license
