About the Role

As a Support Worker, you will provide direct care and support to NDIS participants in their homes and within the community. You will assist with daily living tasks, personal care, and social engagement, while supporting participants to achieve their individual goals in a safe and empowering environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver person-centred care in line with individual support plans
  • Assist with personal care (showering, dressing, toileting)
  • Support with domestic tasks (cleaning, cooking, shopping)
  • Provide community access and accompany clients to appointments and activities
  • Encourage independence and skill development
  • Maintain accurate documentation and incident reporting
  • Communicate effectively with participants, families, and the care team
  • Provide social support and companionship

About You

You are a reliable and compassionate individual with a genuine passion for supporting people with disabilities. You understand the importance of dignity, inclusion, and consistency in care.

Requirements

  • Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or Community Services (or working towards)
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
  • Police Check (valid within 12 months)
  • Working With Children Check (if applicable)
  • Valid Australian Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Comprehensive car insurance
  • COVID-19 vaccination (as per guidelines)
  • Strong communication skills and a client-focused approach
  • Willingness to undergo a psychometric assessment
  • Previous experience in disability support (preferred but not essential)
  • Availability between 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
