About the role

We are currently seeking reliable and compassionate disability support workers to provide full care and assistance to a 10 year old boy with a disability, he is ventilated, this care will help him live at home with his family.

Family have requested workers with a chinese or nepalese background.

Duties include but not limited too

• Ventilation and tracheostomy management
  
• Full personal care
  
• Medication administration
  
• Peg feeding
  
• Assistance with Allied health tasks
• Manual handling
• Domestic tasks
  
• Documentation and reporting

You will be supported by qualified healthcare professionals and would get the necessary training and skills to do the best job you can.

Shift times weekly :

• Wednesday 8am -3.30pm
  
• Saturday 8am - 3.30pm
• possibility of more shifts in this program.

Requirements:

• Desirable- workers with a chinese bacakground
  
• Previous care experience
  
• Current references
  
• Mobile phone
• Current driver's licence and your own car (mandatory)
• NDIS workers screening check or willing to obtain (mandatory)
• First Aid certificate or willing to obtain (mandatory)
• Paid WWCC (Working with Children's check) or willing to obtain
• Passionate about caring and committed to client wellbeing
