The Role

We are seeking dedicated, reliable, and child-safe Disability Support Workers experienced in supporting children and young people with complex physical, intellectual, and mental health needs. Our services are guided by trauma-informed practice, strong child safety principles, and respect for each young person’s rights, dignity, and individuality.

Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Provide safe, person-centred care in a therapeutic home

Support young people in daily life, learning, and personal growth

Follow individual plans to build independence, confidence, and life skills

Create a stable, nurturing environment where young people feel safe

Build genuine, trusting relationships through consistency and empathy

Be a positive role model and set clear, supportive boundaries

Encourage community connection and social inclusion

Use a calm, trauma-informed approach to support behaviours

Work collaboratively and keep clear, accurate records

Show up as a reliable, steady presence young people can depend on

Skills and Experiences:
Mandatory Requirements:
Minimum Certificate IV in Disability Support, Youth Work, or a related field or willing to enrol

Working with Children Blue Card for paid work

NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card)

Unrestricted driver’s license (Minimum P2 license)

LCS2 (or willing to apply)

Current First Aid Certificate

Current CPR Certificate
