We are seeking a capable Emergency Room Float Tech / Internal Travel Team who Performs a variety of clinical tasks to better facilitate patient care by directly assisting nursing and physician staff.

Description:
Shift: PRN Position (48 hours month required) 12-hour shifts- 7am- 7pm and 7pm – 7am, weekend shift varies

Salary: $27.25

We are seeking a capable Emergency Room Float Tech / Internal Travel Team who Performs a variety of clinical tasks to better facilitate patient care by directly assisting nursing and physician staff.
- IV insertion and placement of a foley catheter.
- Performs and documents vital signs, notifies triage nurse or physician on duty possibly critical patients, communicates as appropriate to waiting room patients.
- Conducts needs analysis to determine need for supplies based on ED volume.
- Monitors stock and supplies to ensure par levels are maintained.
- Ensures that physician orders are accurately entered into the computer.
- Answers phones and direct inquiries as appropriate. Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited EMT or Paramedic training program.
- 1-year minimum Previous
- Must have current certification as an EMT-I or Paramedic, AHA CPR, and AHA ACLS if Paramedic.

- Previous Emergency Department Experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: (Medium-Heavy) 36-75 lbs., 0-33% of the work day (occasionally); 20-35 lbs., 34-66% of the workday; (frequently); 10-20 lbs., 67-100% of the workday (constantly); Lifting 75 lbs. max; Carrying of objects up to 35 lbs.; Occasional to frequent standing & walking; Occasional sitting; Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing); Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.

Environmental exposures include, but are not limited to: Blood-borne pathogen exposure; Bio-hazardous waste Chemicals/gases/fumes/vapors; Communicable diseases; Electrical shock; Floor Surfaces; Hot/Cold Temperatures; Indoor/Outdoor conditions; Latex; Lighting; Patient care/handling injuries; Radiation; Shift work; Travel may be required; Use of personal protective equipment, including respirators; environmental conditions may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.
