The Opportunity

The Boeing MQ-28 Ghost Bat is a globally-significant program that will deliver a disruptive advantage to support Defence operational capabilities.

As we continue to accelerate the development program, and expand the aircraft flight envelope through the test program, we are seeking the very best talent from a diverse range of backgrounds to help grow and contribute to our innovative team.

Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) are seeking an Engineering Support Manager to join our MQ-28 Operations and Test team. This role will report to the MQ-28 In-Service Engineering Manager and ensure delivery of engineering support services across the program. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, capable of motivating a diverse and geographically dispersed team in a dynamic environment.

Location: Amberley or Brisbane

Key Responsibilities

    • Support the execution of the MQ-28 program objectives as a key member of the MQ-28 In-Service Engineering Team.
    • Lead and develop a high performing team within MQ-28 In-Service Engineering.
    • Prepare and execute plans to mature MQ-28 support engineering service delivery.
    • Collaborate across execution teams to remove roadblocks, identify interdependencies and ensure smooth handoffs between teams.
    • Team management including recruitment, skills development and performance reviews.
    • Manage team execution to adhere to cost and schedule baselines.
    • Effective stakeholder engagement and communication within Boeing, suppliers and customers.

Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience

    • Formal qualifications in Engineering.
    • Proven track record of successfully leading the technical execution of teams.
    • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to engage and motivate diverse teams.
