We are currently seeking a full-time permanent staff member to join our Urban Design team based at our offices in Sunshine.
The role
Reporting to the Manager Enterprise Projects, Change and Improvement, we are seeking an Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) Coordinator who can bring their skills and experience to:
- Lead project and program management capability uplift across the organisation.
- Lead the ongoing improvement and utilisation of the Project Management Framework (PMF) and other project management tools.
- Drive the use of an integrated centralised Project Management System and supporting processes.
- Provide specialist project and portfolio management advice, and support across the organisation.
- Monitor and report on the governance, performance and QA of identified programs and projects across the organisation.
- Work with internal stakeholders across Council to achieve a positive project culture.
This is a unique opportunity to work at the across the organisation and make a meaningful contribution to support leadership, project coordination, and the delivery of strategic outcomes.
To be considered you will have:
- Ability to work in accordance with our values and behaviours
- Tertiary qualifications in Project Management or related disciplines are desired. Candidates with less formal qualifications but years of relevant experience will be considered.
- Experience managing large, complex projects and change management aspects of projects in Agile, Waterfall and related methods, successfully delivering projects on time.
- Experience in working with, developing and improving a project management framework, related governance and quality assurance processes.
- Experience in supporting the implementation and deployment of portfolio / project management frameworks, systems and software.
- Demonstrated experience uplifting project management maturity in a complex organisation.
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to effectively engage stakeholders and communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- High-level analytical and strategic problem-solving skills.
- Excellent leadership and management skills to lead a high performing team.
- Desirable - Experience working in local government, implementing new ways of working.
