Job Description

We are looking for an Environmental Health & Safety intern to work at Hilite International, located in Whitehall, MI location.

We focus on the development and production of components and systems to reduce fuel consumption and exhaust gases from combustion engines as well as the future technologies such as e-mobility and thermal management. We ensure the robustness of our products as easily as the product creation process.

In this role, you would help with the following company projects:

• MIOSHA Compliance- Updating all LOTO procedures to keep them current with equipment moves, sound exposure study, updating chemical labeling in the process, and manage hygiene sampling and results.
• Continual Improvement- align our two locations (Rochester Hills, MI & Whitehall, MI) procedures and forms, revise and convert to electronic format- chemicals communications (spill and response guidance), update and improve human physical capacity information in job description to aid in injury incident response, shift safety audit development, develop and lead shift toolbox, and explain process with line leaders.
• EMS and Safety System Support- Help with the creation and support an emergency response team across three shifts and supporting and driving the work around Hazard Mapping.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Internship

Pay: $35,360.00 - $41,600.00 per year
