Safe Hands Title is currently seeking a full-time experienced Escrow Processor to support the operations of the local Urbana Office.

Essential Job Functions:

• Coordinates communication with realtors, lenders, attorneys, buyers, sellers, members, etc., to prepare for closing
• Reviews sales contract and creates title files in Qualia closing system
• Orders payoffs, HOA documentation, deed, survey and other documentation in preparation of closing.
• Obtains clear title by ordering title reports, resolving title defects, satisfying existing liens and encumbrances against property or principles
• Reviews lender closing instructions, verifies fees, calculates prorations, balances CD with lender, prepares closing documents, and schedules closings
• Receives funds for closing and prepares checks for issue.
• Performs closings and notarizes documents for purchase and refinance transactions.
• Assists with post-closing processes including recording mortgages and deeds, shipping signed lender docs, and obtaining recorded mortgage releases form county recorder
• Assists Escrow Department with other administrative functions including remittance of underwriter premiums and escrow account reconciliation
• Creates and maintains business relationships with our realtor and lender partners

Specific Knowledge & Skills:

• Knowledge of title software desired, Qualia preferred.
• Understanding of basic computer programs (Microsoft Office)
• Familiar with real estate documents, the closing process, and best practices in the title and escrow industry
• Track record of experience handling title files and closings.
• Exceptional customer service and professional communication skills.
• Must take pride in quality work and excellent service.
• Must have a positive outlook.
• Must be a team player with a can-do attitude.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4+ Years Experience in Title, Real Estate or Mortgage Industries
• 2+ Years Experience with a Title Company in a role similar to the Escrow Officer/Title Processor
• Track record of experience handling title files and closings
• Licensed Public Notary and/or Remote Online Notary
• Experience with Qualia title production a plus
• Experience with Simplifile a plus
• Experience with escrow accounting and account reconciliation process a plus
• Familiar with state, city specific requirements.

Pay: $42,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
