Purpose:
  • To delegate tasks and supervise Cinema Sales Attendants to ensure that their work is completed to the EVENT/Rialto Cinemas Standard.
  • Supervise Cinema Sales Attendants in conjunction with the management team to ensure that the EVENT/Rialto Cinemas Customer service experience escapes the ordinary.
  • Execute tasks/jobs allocated by Management team.
Authority:
May give direction and constructive feedback to Cinema Sales Attendants to ensure the day to day running of the business within the scope of Supervisor Key tasks/activities.

Key Tasks/Activities
Staff Management
  • Cinema Sales Attendants are allocated tasks, areas of responsibility (such as toilets, bins, cinema checks, Play or Time-Out, ice-creams, etc.), and equipment for cleaning each shift.
  • Cinema Sales Attendants are fully informed about all health and safety information, up-coming events and promotions and all other matters that management wishes communicated.
  • Where required, assistance provided to Cinema Sales Attendants dealing with difficult customers.
  • Ensure breaks are allocated to Cinema Sales Attendants on shift.
Ensure allocated breaks are in line with Collective Employment Agreement/Individual Employment Agreement requirements.

Time Management
  • Complete all tasks given by the manager within a reasonable time period.
  • Ensure end of night cleanup is managed appropriately and completed within the allocated time frame.
Staff Training • Assistance provided to management as required with training of Cinema Sales Attendants.
Point of Sale – Selling Tickets, Food & Drink
  • Cash floats, keys, and vouchers are collected from the Duty Manager at the start of each shift.
  • All equipment is turned on and operational at the start of each day.
  • There are adequate supplies of stock and forms on hand for each shift and supplies are replenished as required.
  • Adequate staff are allocated to tasks to ensure the effective operation of the POS area to ensure customers are served quickly and efficiently.
  • Cinema Sales Attendants complete necessary forms, particularly the wastage form, as required and/or appropriate.
  • Cinema Sales Attendants are provided with change from the Supervision float as required.
  • All food credits are advised and processed prior to the end of each shift.
  • There is Zero variance in the Supervision float at the end of each shift, or there is an adequate explanation for a negative or positive variance.
  • Where till floats do not balance every effort is made to determine the reason for the negative or positive variance.
  • All variances in cash floats are reported to the manager on Duty with, wherever possible, the reason (s) for the variances.
  • All surfaces and food and drink producing equipment are kept scrupulously clean at all times.
  • Adequate staff are allocated to tasks to ensure the efficient and controlled movement of patrons within the complex.
Floor Supervision
  • Adequate staff are allocated to tasks to ensure the efficient and controlled movement of patrons within the complex.
  • Floor barriers are erected to assist with crowd control as required.
  • The foyer is not blocked by people at any time.
