Job Summary
DESCRIPTION: Absolute XM is the premier agency specializing in the art of executing spectacular National and Regional events for tier-one brands and organizations worldwide. We work closely with our clients to produce programs that are perfectly aligned with the overall marketing and communication strategy.
The Event Development and Production Intern will be responsible for supporting the Strategy & Activations team as well as the Event Production & Development team to contribute towards program development and execution of Experiential Marketing Brand Campaigns, Virtual or Live Event Programs, Galas, Festivals, and/or other Client Activations on regional or national scale. We are looking for someone with strong organizational skills and attention to detail, who can juggle multiple projects at once – seeing projects from ideation through to production.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Event planning, design and production while managing all project delivery elements within time limits
- Attend events and festival planning meetings both internally and externally as required
- Plan and execute logistics of various events from the beginning stages all the way through to completion
- Assist in marketing and promotions pertaining to social media, design of collateral pieces as well as all other avenues
- Update supplier/partner contact sheets for all previous and new relationships
- Assist with organizing, staffing and coordinating volunteers/staff
- Prepare and distribute vendor paperwork such as pre and/or post event order statements and load in/out packages
- Source, quote and schedule various event equipment/supplies rentals and outsource required services
- Assist with the creation of travel itineraries, route schedules and pick-up slips
- Developing and preparing pick and pack lists for install and strike of various events while ensuring that all inventory is handled with care to protect against damage and deterioration
- Be a part of the execution team on the day of events/festivals – performing event-related set-up tasks and tear down tasks
- Admin tasks – gathering and updating new information into excel sheets/databases, data entry, filing, answering phone calls, etc.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Must currently be enrolled in a post secondary education program with a focus in the event management field
- Enthusiasm for planning well executed grand events with a focus on achieving the “WOW” from both our clients and our guests.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills combined with good time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and should be able to deliver results, even when required to work under tight deadlines and pressure
- Excellent communication skills to interact with a diverse range of people such as clients, vendors, suppliers, staff members and volunteers, etc.
- Should possess good problem solving, creative and experimental skills with a positive attitude and energy
- Ability to use Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Ability to use Google programs such as Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.

- Have the opportunity to work with a team to produce a grand event from its initial planning to execution while working among industry professionals with tier-one brands

- Utilize the foundation of knowledge gained from Event related studies in a real-world setting
Job Type: Internship
Internship Honorarium: $750.00 per month, based on Monday to Friday In-Office Work, 9am – 5pm.
Job Type: Internship / Co-op
