Position Overview
RAOFACTOR is seeking an entry-level Floral Assistant (1099 contractor) to support our floral design team during production and on-site event installations. This opportunity is ideal for someone looking to enter the floral and event industry and gain hands-on experience working behind the scenes of high-end weddings and events.
No prior floral experience is required — this role is designed for individuals who are eager to learn, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
This is a flexible contract position, with hours varying based on event needs and seasonality.
Contract Availability & Hours
- Flexible scheduling based on event production needs
- Average availability of 32+ hours per week during busy season
- Availability may increase to 37+ hours per week during peak periods
- Workdays may include weekdays and weekends depending on event schedules

Scope of Contract Work
- Assist with floral production and preparation
- Support on-site event installations and breakdowns
- Handle flowers, décor, tools, and event materials efficiently
- Follow design direction while contributing to smooth execution
- Adapt quickly to changing timelines and event needs
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry 30–50 lbs (flower buckets, décor, supplies)
- Comfortable using ladders up to 10 ft
- Able to stand and be on your feet for extended periods
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors at event venues
- Willing to perform hands-on, sometimes messy tasks (flowers, water, setup/cleanup)
