Experienced Dental Assistant/Lead Dental Care Coordinator

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented experienced Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. We are a friendly family practice that has been established for several years.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and surgeries.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols.
• Take and develop X-rays as needed while adhering to safety standards.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently.
• Support pediatric dentistry efforts by creating a welcoming environment for children.
• Operate dental technology to assist in treatment planning.
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Skills

• Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and knowledge of dental terminology.
• Experience with Dentrix software for patient management is a mandatory.
• Strong understanding of infection control protocols within a dental setting.
• Ability to take X-rays safely and accurately.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Knowledge of dental receptionist duties is beneficial.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
