Experienced Dental Office Manager/Treatment Coordinator

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Office Assistant to join our Growing and Dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice, providing exceptional support to both patients and staff. This position requires a blend of administrative skills, medical knowledge, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care.

Duties

  • Manage patient scheduling, ensuring efficient use of time and resources.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Handle billing and insurance claims, including financial management and budgeting tasks.
  • Provide medical administrative support, including managing medical records and utilizing EMR/EHR systems such as Dentrix
  • Oversee office management functions, including supervising staff and coordinating daily operations.
  • Ensure the clinic meets JCAHO standards and adheres to best practices in healthcare management.
  • Facilitate communication between patients and dental professionals, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
  • Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment, ensuring availability for procedures.
  • Support human resources functions as needed, including onboarding new staff members.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a dental office or medical office setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is essential.
  • Proficiency in practice management software (Dentrix) and EMR/EHR systems is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and team members.
  • Experience in fiscal management, including budgeting and financial oversight.
  • Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities within a healthcare environment.
  • Knowledge of managed care processes and utilization management is beneficial.
