Facilities Maintenance Technician

Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Facilities/Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves performing a variety of maintenance, repair, and upkeep tasks to ensure the smooth and safe operation of our facilities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in general maintenance, basic construction, or related trades and a strong willingness to learn and grow within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
• Conduct inspections and identify maintenance needs to prevent operational disruptions.
• Repair and maintain structural elements such as doors, windows, walls, and flooring.
• Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of external grounds, including landscaping and minor repairs.
• Assist with installation or assembly of equipment, fixtures, or furniture as needed.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests to ensure safe and efficient operation of all facilities.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
• Follow safety protocols and comply with all company policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in facilities, maintenance, handyman work, construction, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with HVAC systems or other trade-specific experience.
• Mechanical or technical background.
• Interest in a temp-to-perm opportunity.

Skills & Abilities:

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, lift heavy objects, and work in various conditions.
• Basic knowledge of tools, machinery, and maintenance procedures.
• Good communication skills and a proactive, safety-conscious attitude.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: Up to $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Work Location: In person
