As a Lab Engineering Intern , you'll join a team of passionate engineers and technicians working on Intel's most advanced process technologies. This internship is your opportunity to apply your STEM education in a real-world setting, working alongside experienced engineers to solve complex problems, optimize lab workflows, and contribute to the development of world-changing technology.

Responsibilities / What You'll Do

  • Responsible for safety, quality, operational performance in the lab while learning advanced Failure Analysis and Fault Isolation techniques to debug yield problems on Intel’s advanced FinFet technology

  • Deep Dive into cutting edge Fault Isolation tools and run experiments to characterize tool operating modes over a range of faults to optimize the setup

  • Collaborate with cross-functional lab teams to solve complex yield issues using a mix of software diagnostics and physical hand on lab workflows

  • Engage in continuous learning and development through mentorship and training.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a Level 8 or Level 9 qualification in Electronic Engineering or Physics with a strong understanding of device physics.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse, high-performing team.

  • Good dexterity and willingness to work hand on in the lab

  • Strong attention to detail and disciplined approach to procedures.

You must available for a period of six to nine months , staring straight away. Please note: Upon finishing the 6+ months internship you are expected to return to your college or university to complete the remaining coursework and graduate , ideally in 2027 .

P referred Experience:

  • Knowledge of DFT and Semiconductor Test principles

  • Knowledge of optical systems, laser theory, FIB or SEM
